Why You Can Be Both Full and Unfulfilled

Fri, Jan 30, 2009

Have you ever lost the battle between your diet and cravings?

Ever wonder why those cravings to eat feel bigger than you’re willpower—even bigger than you?

The mystery is over.

Discover the powerful driving force behind uncontrollable cravings and how to eliminate it for good in this 2 minute audio excerpt with myself and “Energy Coach” John Allen Mollenhauer.

In this audio John Allen explains, “you overeat not because you’re not getting enough calories but because you’re not getting enough nutrients.

Many “junk” foods acts as drugs and when “under the influence” we’re prone to make poor decisions. This is a trap that no amount of willpower it going to pull you out of. It’s not about being smart or informed.

Overfed & Undernourished
This being “overfed and undernourished” and driven out of control by cravings is something I blew the covers off in Chapter 9 of Strength for Life: Eat to Live.

On page 80 of Strength for Life, I show you how to Clear the Cravings in 3 Simple Steps.

You’ll come to know why diets virtually guarantee failure by trying to override your body’s supremely intelligent design and acting in opposition to the need for nourishment that supports your life and keep you living strong.

You see, your body has a need for vital nutrients but most of us spend the majority of our lives responding to these authentic needs by eating calorie dense, nutritionally deficient foods—foods that enhance cravings. As a result, the communication between our bodies and our minds becomes distorted like the image through a fractured camera lens.

When your body signals that it needs life sustaining proteins, carbs, fats or any sort of vitamin or mineral, your mind instantly transforms that message into a craving for something sweet, salty, fatty or general junk.

For example your body needs vitamin B-12 and you promptly slam a big Snickers. Do you think the message will be silenced? Nope.

As a result your body becomes as “bent out of shape” and distorted as the image your mind receives. Rather than fueling your freedom you waste precious time “hunting” and eating the wrong foods, in the wrong amounts, damaging your health and destroying your strength and zapping your energy.

Doubt me?

Consider that you can pound three dozen Twinkies in your pie-hole and you’ll be too ill to eat anything for a while but if you could, you’d eat another dozen. Your body, absent the vital nutrition will keep knocking at the door like an ex you’ve been trying to lose. The cycle of food addiction strengthens and weakens you.

Freedom is in Feeding Your Body Right

Regardless of what obscure craving arises—be it beluga caviar on cinnamon toast, you can use your conscious mind to choose freedom, to choose your nutrition. In fact you’ll have to. Don’t wait to be a subject to the cravings but take the driver seat.

When you do, when your body is fueled with a vibrant, healthy meal of proteins, carbs, essential fats and the right balance of vitamins and minerals the intelligent signal which you mis-interpreted as “get me a pizza NOW!” will disappear like magic. Suddenly it’s all quiet up there and you’re in charge.

Try this…

Next time you get a craving for a burger, fries and a milk shake, or worse, feed your body a nutrient rich, balanced meal, fast. This could be a delicious salad, a healthy dinner plate or for a sure-fire, quick hitting, long lasting taste of freedom you could enjoy premium quality “life performance” food in Full Strength.

The way it quickly elevates your energy, focus and clarity can show you how to turn the corner, set a new course for life. You’ll be amazed how quickly and completely the one powerful cravings will evaporates—like they never existed. Why? Because you hit the bulls-eye of nutrition of what your body really, truly needed and that turned off the trigger. It’s that simple.

When you choose strength, rather than weakness you greatly reduce the chances of that you will be brought to your knees by the distortion of cravings next time—or the time after that. You’re forging real and lasting freedom with this step in the right direction—this step towards a life of strength, energy and vitality.

Until Next Week…

Stay Strong,

Shawn

    >… it’s a delicious source of freedom fuel for men.

What the heck… ??? not for men and women???

I liked this blog entry; I do feel at 3pm that “I’m out on the HUNT” for snacks… I also do feel that when I eat my protein+unprocessed carb meals, “it’s all quiet up there,” just as you so perfectly describe.

    >you mis-interpreted as “get me a pizza NOW!” will disappear like magic. Suddenly it’s all quiet up there and you’re in charge.

    thanks, Etana
